Steve Smith Workshop

Steve Smith - Talking Earth Pottery
Hands on Workshop   Sat Feb 24   2018  9am-4pm
Fee hst included-  $90  for BPG members, $120 non-members.
Location: ClayWorks Studio, 111 Sherwood Drive unit 3, Brantford, On
Steve will demonstrate his throwing, burnishing, slip application and carving techniques.
All potters will receive a  5" or 6” bone dry vase or oval form to apply slips to, carve their designs.
Potters will bring a design to use for carving into a bone dry piece after slip has been applied. Bisque and glaze firing will be provided as required at the studio.

Potters to bring a dish for the potluck lunch & beverages.
Most importantly bring a design for your piece, and any favourite carving tools.

Mini-course #2    Feb 15, 22, Mar1           Surface Design: with Rosalie MacNeil
Are your pots blah? Tired of the same old glaze colours?
Try something new with surface design techniques ranging from screen printing
to scrafitto, mishima to mocha.
Develop your drawing skills with an art teacher of 30 years experience.
